In July 2008, Mainline Information Systems, Inc acquired the IBM division of CompServ, Inc, expanding the resources available for customers. The remaining product lines continue to operate under new ownership as CompServ LLC, a privately held company.  Both companies focus on delivering infrastructure solutions, such as business continuance, virtualization, security and IT optimization. As one of IBM's largest partners, this acquisition will enable CompServ through its strategic alliance with Mainline to provide even more technical services to its extensive customer base.

Because Mainline is headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida, this acquisition allows CompServ to extend its reach right in its own backyard. Florida was recently ranked by AeA as the fourth largest and eighth fastest growing 'cyberstate' in the nation, due to both the demand for solid technology solutions and the resources to meet those demands. The CompServ team brings a wealth of technical skills, enabling us to provide additional value to our customers, as we continue to be a part of the thriving technology solutions industry in the state.

CompServ and Mainline have combined revenue of more than $800 million in 2008.
